Department: Electrical Engineering / Test & Validation - The role provides strong technical capability in electrical testing, instrumentation, data acquisition, and test procedure development. The post holder will support the full test lifecycle—from requirements definition and test planning through to execution, reporting, and certification—ensuring that electrical systems meet design intent, regulatory standards, and customer expectations.

The Test Equipment Hardware Design Capability group is a function home to the engineers working as part of the Test Equipment Centre of Excellence (TE CofEx), within Electronic Engineering (EE) Directorate. Skilled Hardware Design Engineers with proven experience to support the design, integration and validation of test system hardware solutions. Knowledge of test needs and techniques in support of product life cycle development. Define & specify test approaches identifying any potential improvements to test/diagnostic processes. Experience of Design Proving and performance testing during development. Strong document writing skills associated with Test Equipment hardware design needs. £50 Umbrella - The EE Directorate is part of the wider Operations Directorate and forms part of Greater Engineering (Engineering, Operations and Programmes Directorate).
