The Regional System Engineer (South West) will support the delivery of engineering services across STS Defences Secure MOD contracts and naval platform programmes, operating primarily from the Devonport area. Carrying out surveys, installations, test and validation of communications and IT systems including Wi-Fi, CAT6/7, and fibre optic cabling infrastructure in support of RN Welfare based systems installed onboard. Providing Out of Hours technical support as required to STS Duty Engineer, particularly when a physical presence in South West based vessels and land establishments is required. Practical experience with VHF, UHF and SATCOM communications systems. Good understanding of electrical systems and structured cabling including fibre optic, CAT 6 and CAT 7 installations.
