This is a hands-on leadership role where youll drive mechanical design from concept through manufacture, installation and commissioning. * Lead the mechanical design of complex industrial process equipment * Degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer (or equivalent experience) Join a highly specialised engineering team delivering advanced electro-mechanical systems across Medical, Industrial and Nuclear sectors. * Own the CAD system (Solid Edge), standards and design release process * Design bespoke machinery and integrated material handling systems * Oversee documentation, compliance and design quality * Proven experience designing bespoke industrial machinery or process equipment * Sheet metal, frames, enclosures and structural design expertise - Youll be a natural problem-solver who thrives in a project-driven environment and is experienced acting as a technical lead or design authority.

· Manage an engineering design team in the production of E&P Lineside Electrical Feasibility, Scheme and Detailed Design reports, layouts, schematics, and calculations (including, 230V and 400V Supplies, Domestic Power Supplies, UPS Systems, Battery Systems and Earthing and Bonding) within multidisciplinary rail projects. · Undertake the role of E&P CRE for Design and Construction. · Undertake the review of all electrical designs and of electrical bills of materials for technical designs prior to submission to the client and authorisation to purchase equipment and parts for installation of designs. · Review site build information including redlined drawings and test certification to ensure installations are undertaken as per design and standards, submission of hand back information to clients as construction CRE for E&P.

• Accountable to senior engineers, project managers and technical managers as appropriate • Knowledge of electronic design software packages for simulation, schematic and layout design – Altium would be advantageous • Able to carry out detailed design and implementation of electronic circuits • Good understanding of Design Assurance as defined in electrical / electronic design processes • Mentoring Junior Engineers • Knowledge of the following would be advantageous: Microcontrollers, Microprocessors, FPGAs, Digital Circuit Design, Mixed Signal and Analogue Circuit Design, Analogue low-noise interface circuitry, RF, ADC, Power Amplifier and Pre-Amp design • Able to translate customer requirements into an electronics specification and create feasible preliminary architectures from the electronics specifications • Ability to create feasible preliminary architectures from electronics specifications
