Wiring Technician

Our client is a world leader in the Manufacturing and Aerospace Industry.

Role

The role involves a high level of various fitting skills to enable the successful modification of the Power Supply and the Motor & Control section

Essential Requirements

The successful candidate will ideally have at least 3 years experience or a recognised qualification in mechanical engineering or equivalent
Ability to read and interpret production drawings and wiring schedules
Experience of precision fitting
Experience of Test Meters & Measuring Equipment
Electrical Wiring Skills (such as Soldering, Plug Termination, solder sleeves, crimping)
Experience using lifting/handling equipment

Desirable Requirements

Repair, modification and fitting of wiring looms
Conformal coating repair
Application of Araldite, Varnish, Paints & Sealants
Capable of interpreting Process Specifications and work procedures/instructions
Basic understanding of diagnostics and ability to reach accurate conclusions and action accordingly.
Experience of Automatic Test Equipment (ATE), checks will include electrical and mechanical functions.
