This progressive, medium sized building services engineering consultancy has a strong regional client base in the South East of England. You will join an office working alongside approximately 80 other technical staff and must be capable of discharging your duties without supervision and managing your time effectively on a project by project/or multiple project basis according to the workload at any given time. You will be the leading expertise in matters of sustainability and energy efficiency. You will be able to demonstrate a deep knowledge and significant experience in several of the following areas: BREEAM, EcoHomes, Code for Sustainable Home assessments, thermal modelling, whole life costing, Environmental Impact Assessments, Sustainability and Energy Statements for Planning and the provision of specialist innovative solutions to issues relating to sustainability and energy efficiency in buildings.. You will have a qualification in environmental design and/or engineering/architectural related course, coupled with a proven track record gained working in the sustainable/renewable building design field. You will have a thorough understanding of environmental, social and economic issues at local, national and global levels. You will be keen to promote the built environment recognising the influence of sustainability and modern technology. You will have a good understanding of the planning, design and construction industries and be able to work closely with urban designers, planners, architects and other engineers.
