Homes and businesses are getting smarter with their energy. And smart meters are a big reason why. The data that these devices generate is critical - but that data, without insight, isn't much of an advantage. That's where your experience in data science comes in.
What you'll do:
Stepping into this role with a wealth of knowledge in research, you'll be analysing and correlating data to shape the future of smart metering, identifying and prioritising topics that need immediate investigation and intervention. Using your managerial background, you'll lead a team that will be key to achieving end-to-end optimal performance. Your team will work on things like monitoring and reviewing system availability, performing trend analysis to identify variable or unusual behaviours and enriching smart meter information with your insights.
What's more, you'll play a key role in the development of the new Data Analytics platform, ready for its launch in 2017. You'll determine how the platform will be configured; influencing what outcomes will come from it.
As a leader, you'll also develop, refine and operate business critical processes that ensure E.ON's interpretation of smart meter data remains compliant with relevant regulations, obligations and codes of practice.

You'll hit the ground running using your excellent analytical skills and experience in management - spotting people's strengths and building high-performing teams.
You won't necessarily need prior Energy experience or smart meter knowledge, but you'll have an ability to find clear, simple and innovative solutions to tricky problems.
