Site Mangers job role with a bespoke Residential Contractor, Richardson (Nyewood) Limited. Based in Hampshire Richardson's specialise in high-spec and bespoke residential refurbishment and renovation projects across the South & Central London. The job role is paying a competitive salary with a package included. Your new company Established in 1965 Richardson's (Nyewood) Limited has grown into a highly respected construction company whose ethos embodies the 'large enough to cope, small enough to care' philosophy. They offer a range of services from a 'one-stop service' of design and build to management contracting and high end specialist trades. Their experience extends from new build 'high end' residential to refurbishment and alteration to Grade 1 and Grade 2 listed buildings within the commercial, ecclesiastical, educational and healthcare related sectors. They complete bespoke works for selected cliental across Hampshire, Surrey, West Sussex and central London. Your new role As a Site Manager with Richardson's you will initially be managing the £4million high-end refurbishment /conversion scheme in Central London for one of our key clients. Your responsibilities will include: - Ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. - Liaise with Contracts Managers, M&E Managers and Senior Management to organise site labour requirements for employed and subcontracted operatives. - Assist Contracts Managers by advising them of site requirements in respect of materials, plant and machinery in line with programme in good time. - Attend pre-start meetings and further site or client meetings to ensure completed works meet expectations. - Maintain regular contact with Contracts Managers, Foremen, M&E Managers, QS and MD to ensure proactively programme progress is reported. Secondly agree work programmes to suit customer demand and resource availability. - Complete ''setting out'' works, liaising with other trades and contractors to ensure works are as per drawings. - Ensure that works are in accordance with latest issue of ''working drawings'' and provide assistance and information needed to produce as built drawings as and when required. - Liaise with QS and other colleagues for the negotiation and approval of client variation orders/architects instructions. - Attend monthly review meeting with Managing Director to provide programme progress update on all projects. - Management responsibility for all site related Health & Safety matters for Richardson's staff, subcontractors and suppliers. - Ensure site induction, toolbox talks and training is delivered in line with contract, site rules and Company procedures.What you'll need to succeed To succeed in the role you will need to have a proven track record within site management on similar projects, design and build contracts, bespoke refurbishment. You will need to be qualified with SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid and keep abreast of changes to H&S legislation, ensuring self, company and others are compliant. A sound structural knowledge with the ability to challenge drawings with the engineer and architect sub-contractors / consultants. A keen eye for detail with excellent planning and supervisory skills.
