Salary: OTE £35000 per annum

Who are we looking for?
When we recruit for Service Managers, we are looking for individuals who are experienced in all aspects of running a service department. You will have the ability to offer exemplary customer service, including maintaining customer relationships and ensuring repeat customers by upselling products and services and taking care of any customer concerns or complaints efficiently. Ideally you will be qualified to a Level 3 or equivalent in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair and will display good knowledge of industry standards and practices including product details and customer service standards. You will be able to demonstrate a successful track record of managing a service team to its potential. Although experience of working in a high volume workshop would be an advantage, this would not be essential to be considered for the role.
The ideal Service Manager will possess the following key skills:
- Strong Customer-Facing Skills,
- Strong Written and Verbal Communication skills,
- Creative Problem-Solving.
What will I be responsible for?
Reporting into the Branch Manager and Area Aftersales Manager, the successful Service Manager will be responsible for managing and maintaining the Service department at our Birmingham Site. This will include all service team members and also a team of technicians and valeters. You will be required to evaluate their efficiency on a daily basis and lead and drive them to optimal performance.
You will undertake regular audits of work being carried out, managing a high turnover of vehicles. You will ensure that each vehicle is prepared to the highest standards, maintaining and excelling our customer expectations through your aftersales function. You will ensure all targets are met and that work is being carried out correctly and thoroughly. You will also undertake regular performance reports and ensure that Health and Safety standards are maintained and continuously improved within the workshop.
