GMT Rubber-Metal-Technic Ltd is the UK based technical sales and distribution centre for a large global organisation. Founded in 1968, GMT's main business is the design, manufacture and sales of anti-vibration mountings and rubber-to-metal bonded products for use by most industrial sectors including Aerospace, Automotive, Defence, Railways, Marine and Construction - indeed anywhere there is a need to isolate vibration and/or absorb shock.

An opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated and sales oriented person to join our UK team being responsible for the development and growth of existing and new customer sales primarily within the UK Railway Industry.

The role will involve visiting and meeting train maintenance and repair centres around the UK as well as major train manufacturers and train operating companies in support of ongoing business and in pursuing new sales growth.

The successful candidate must be highly self-motivated and have demonstrably good sales/commercial acumen. Any previous experience of the UK Railway Industry and/or Railway Vehicles would be of benefit as would a practical mind and a mechanical engineering background.

Training will be provided particularly in regard to understanding the products and where necessaryin regard to sales.

The specific job title, remuneration package and training will be dependent upon the relevant experience of the successful candidate.

Essential skills:

- Computer literate (Word, Excel, Email, etc.)

- Good commercial acumen / common sense

- A practical mind / basic comprehension formechanical components.

- A valid UK driving license and prepared to travel on a regular basis

Desirable skills:

- Mechanical engineering background and/or qualifications.

- Previous sales / commercial experience and/or qualifications.

- Experience of the UK Railway industry
