They have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter with Electrical skills to join their team based at Macclesfield Wastewater Treatment Works. You will be responsible for analysing faults and rectifying to ensure our assets and key plant are maintained to provide excellent levels of service to their customers. You will provide comprehensive job reports to allow the long term performance of their assets across the Cheshire area to be analysed and improved.
What will you focus on?
Whilst focusing on the maintenance of assets in your particular field you will work to a pre-defined budget to ensure costs are controlled and you will be involved in capital projects where required. This Mechanical Fitter is a hands-on role where you will work with a wide range of equipment at their treatment works and pumping stations, stripping equipment down to identify and thus rectify faults.
What do you need?
To succeed within this Mechanical Fitter role you will be an experienced Mechanical Fitter with an HNC or ONC in both a Mechanical and Electrical discipline. You will need to be experienced in reading engineering drawings and complex reports, demonstrating a flexible approach to a varied workload. You will have loads of enthusiasm and initiative and the ability to fulfil a physically demanding role requiring access to confined spaces, working at height, manual lifting and working outdoors. Experience of working in a production environment would be desirable.
