Rolls Royce has a number of exciting opportunities for Inspectors to undertake an initial 12 month temporary assignment based in Barnoldswick, Lancashire.

As an Inspector you will be responsible for carrying out all inspection activities related to the manufacture of the components of aerospace engines, you will be expected to be able to work to engineering drawings, manufacturing instructions and data sheets in an environment where compliance to procedures is mandatory.

This will include inspection techniques such as Visual, Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), Ultra Sonic methods and the raising and completion of the relevant inspection documentation

Your role will be an integral part of our manufacturing process and will enable Rolls-Royce to maintain our excellent quality standards.

You will have a professional and flexible attitude, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels. You will be self-motivated, with the ability to work on your own initiative or as part of a team. You will understand how to maintain a clean and safe environment in the workplace and how to work to set deadlines to achieve performance targets.

It is essential that you have an up-to-date working knowledge of health, safety (including COSHH) and environmental procedures

Required Skills / Experience / Qualifications

- Time Served; Indentured Apprenticeship, Advanced Modern Apprenticeship, NVQ 3 or equivalent in Aeronautical / Mechanical Engineering or very similar.
- Served a recognised engineering apprenticeship.
- Very proficient in a variety of Inspection techniques.
- Comfortable interpreting engineering drawings.
