H&S QE Compliance and Audits Manager

Location: Southfleet, Kent

Salary: 40,000+ Negotiable

This is an excellent opportunity to join an exciting, well respected business, having majority of projects in and around London area, with a very bright future, on a permanent basis. The main objective of this position is to ensure that the company is compliant with all the standards on all the projects.

Duties of the Health and Safety QE Compliance and Audits Manager:

Accreditations

- Complete the online questionnaires and compile the required documentation / evidence and run the audit process for the following bodies: - BSI UKAS - 9001, 14001 & 18001
- Achilles RISQS
- Achilles Building Confidence
- SIA / NSI - 7499 & 7858

Quality:

- Maintain, amend & create all documentation to ensure system complies to ISO 9001 and meets the companies activities.
- Determining and agreeing in-house quality procedures, standards and/or specifications To comply with the above
- Assist in the writing of plans and reports
- Assessing customer requirements and ensuring that these are met and monitored
- Setting customer service standards
- Specifying quality requirements of raw materials and staff with Suppliers / Agencies
- Maintain the approved suppliers register (send out and assess suppliers questionnaire and undertake audit visits)
- Monitor customer satisfaction to involve (Questionnaires, site visits, attending site meetings)
- Review the quality of the services provided - based on the above
- Control customer complaints and close out as required (put corrective and preventive action - CAPA - in place and review)
- Create Maintain an audit plan
- Carry out site and office audits, create audit reports and action plans to close out any issues found.
- Maintain an issues register for any observation or non-conformances found.
- Create KPI's and CAPA from the findings of the above
- Setting targets and objectives for the organisation
- Ensure continual improvement of project performance and the QMS.
- Working with operating staff to establish procedures, standards, systems and procedures
- Provide advice and guidance to project staff regarding the QMS and its use.
- Create and issue monthly reports covering the above
- Determining training needs for current works
- Monitoring performance

H&S and Environmental

- Compiling and implementing internal health and safety strategies / safe operational and environmental procedures & practices
- Identifying potential hazards & risks and methods of reducing these and overseeing the use of all resources within organisations
- Maintain, amend & create all documentation to ensure system complies to ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 meets the companies activities
- Assist in the writing of plans
- Reviewing RAMS - Provide advice
- Review current legislation and regulations and ensure documentation is compliant
- Maintain and review a legislation register
- Ensuring that equipment is installed correctly/safely
- Writing reports, bulletins and newsletters
- Review health and safety and environmental training needs for employees and managers
- Investigating/recording incidents/environmental Incidents, accidents, complaints and cases of ill health
- Compiling incident and near miss statistics
- Making recommendations following accidents/incidents
- Carry out audits of sub-contractors performance and environmental performance
- Organising/attending health and safety meetings (Company's and clients)
- Carry out site compliance audits, create audit reports and action plans to close out any issues found.
- Auditing, analysing and collating environmental performance data and reporting information to Management, internal staff and clients
- Provide advice and guidance to project staff regarding H&S.
- Compiling incident and near miss statistics
- Developing schemes for recycling, pollution reduction and pollution prevention
- Ensuring compliance with environmental legislation
- Managing environmental strategy budgets
- Review changes in environmental legislation and initiatives including EU directives
- Liaising with regulatory bodies such as the Environment Agency.

Security

- Line Manage the Security Manager
- Responsible for the Maintenance, amendment & creation of all documentation to ensure systems comply to BS 7499 & BS 7858 and meets the companies activities
- Responsible for ensuring Security staff are complying with BS 7499
- Auditing, analysing and collating environmental performance data and reporting information to Management, internal staff and clients

PQQ's & Tenders

- Complete PQQ's for new and existing clients
- Assist in the completion of tenders ETC
- Respond to offers of new works from Network rail ETC (OJEU Notices)

Training

- Maintain the DGP training matrix
- Organise training courses
- Collate all training records

Requirements of the Health and Safety QE Compliance and Audits Manager:

- Previous experience in a similar role
- Extensive previous experience conducting audits
- Familiarity with both the BS7858 and BS7499 standards
- Live within commutable distance of Southfleet and Willingness to travel across London
