Graduate Structural Engineer
Are you looking for a great opportunity to start your engineering career? Do you want to join a fast-growing, ambitious and profitable business where you'll learn a variety of skill across construction? If so, joining PAW Structures could be for you ......
So, what do we do? PAW is a leading designer, contractor and manufacturer in the structural steel industry, specialising in light gauge steel; those in the know will tell you that modern construction methods are moving towards modular components being manufactured offsite.
From four people in 2002, PAW now has offices in Skipton, Evesham, and Glasgow, a manufacturing site, and employs over one hundred people; most recently, we have invested in a new manufacturing site with twice the capacity - we hope that demonstrates where the company is going!
We are absolutely focused on our staff as our most important asset, and commit to developing each and every person wherever possible. Your role as a graduate engineer will be a varied one, with a structured schedule to gain experience across every aspect of the business. We want you to know how the company works from everyone's viewpoint. We want to develop a talented engineer with an extensive knowledge of the business' activities and the light gauge and structural steel markets.
We want a bright and ambitious graduate who wants to learn and develop in a growing business. You will be educated in a suitable discipline of engineering which demonstrates knowledge in areas such as design, structural engineering, construction, or materials. A general concept of structural steel in construction will be very useful indeed.
However, most of all, we are recruiting for a candidate who has aptitude and a great attitude, and who will be a great cultural fit for the company - your interview day will be very much about you being able to meet people and find out whether the business is the place to start your career. You know what you're capable of and what you have to offer, so this is your opportunity to show us!
The role will be based in the Technical Team at our Skipton Head Office - for those who don't know the area, Skipton, at the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, was The Sunday Times' best place to live in the UK; Housing is reasonably priced, with excellent local facilities, and still within an easy train journey to Leeds and Bradford.
Applications will close on Monday 6th March 2017, and responses to applicants will be sent out by Monday 13th March.
All relevant applicants will be contacted to establish suitability, and successful candidates will be invited to our assessment day in Skipton, which will be held on Thursday 27th April.
Previous applicants are very welcome to apply
All applications will be administered by our retained consultant, Simon Haworth of Marwood Resourcing Ltd.
