Flood Risk Management Team Leader
Salary: £37,858- £40,619
Hours: 37 hours per week
This is an exciting time to lead our team as we are at the forefront of developing catchment scale flood risk initiatives. We are recognised as a key contributor to regional and national flood risk management policy and strategy and the service has a strong track record for delivering and supporting the delivery of flood and coastal risk management schemes.
North Yorkshire County Council is looking for a Flood Risk Management Team Leader to lead on the County Council's partnership working on flood management matters. This is a pivotal position due to the scale of flood risk in North Yorkshire. We are looking for an effective leader to deliver the County Council's Local Flood Risk Strategy and to ensure that all relevant partners are engaged in progressing and implementing this strategy.
As Lead Local Flood Authority, we work closely with other authorities and communities to deliver services vital to the management of flood risk in this diverse landscape and as Flood Risk Management Team Leader you will play a critical role at the heart of this service. Leading a high-performing team of flood risk professionals, you will motivate and support the team in ensuring the delivery of flood management targets.
The key to this role is skilled communication, alongside an understanding and commitment to the management of flood risk. Due to the high profile nature of this role we are looking for someone to harness and develop partner relationships and who has the ability to influence at the highest level.
