Bill of Materials and Engineering Administrator

Job Type:
Start Date:
Bill of Materials and Engineering Administrator Luton, Bedfordshire

Competitive salary, plus excellent benefits, vehicle discount schemes, career progression opportunities and further study support

The success story of Vauxhall Motors continues, with our Luton plant becoming home to the largest Police car factory in Europe, converting 2,500 a year for the Police, Fire and Ambulance services.

Currently 70% of all emergency service vehicles are made by Vauxhall and the British car manufacturer is confident that the new 'one-stop shop' will help this figure increase.

We're searching for our next BoM and Engineering Administrator to join our highly successful engineering design team based at our Kimpton Road Plant, just less than one mile from our town centre. The plant is well served with excellent public transport links and is less than a two minute drive from J10 of the M1.

The key to the success in this role is to ensure our 'blue light' administration processes and procedures are developed, reviewed, communicated and conform to our high engineering standards. We'll need you to help us support our design objectives and deliverables, so you'll need to be technically astute, as well as an excellent communicator as you'll support our Conversion Engineers in creating and implementing build documentation, changes and concessions.

You'll be familiar with BoM, Production Action Authorisation (PAA) documents and database management, job element instruction and comfortable with automotive technical drawing interpretation. In addition, you'll be supporting and writing technical bulletins, presenting and documenting in team meetings and provide the team with the necessary reports as and when required.

About you:

Already at an advanced level within an Automotive Engineering or similar Technical Environment with a Release and Change environment, you'll be qualified to at least diploma level within Mechanical Design with post qualification experience of engineering development.
