An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Structures Project Manager to work across our client's base in Education, Development and Industrial, within their Sheffield office.
Whilst managing a design team and mentoring and assisting the development of graduate engineers, you will also be expected to undertake the following:
• Hands on design
• Design reviews
• Help develop and grow the design team
• Demonstrate ability to deliver competently within agreed budget and timeframes
• Day to day running of project teams
• Attending Design Team Meetings
• Full interface with external clients
• Site representation
You will be appropriately qualified and will ideally have a Chartered Engineer status or will be working towards achieving this.
An in-depth knowledge of structural techniques is essential together with experience of UK Design codes, proficiency in various design software packages including CSC Design Software, ROBOT and other packages, competency with Microsoft packages and the ability to utilise other project related software.
You must be able to design, deliver and manage multi discipline projects effectively and profitably and you will have experience of developing business through reputation on project delivery and contributing to new business opportunities.
A good communicator, you will have good report writing skills, the ability to ‘lead by example’ and act as a mentor within the team and previous experience of leading from the front.
Our client will offer a competitive salary, probably in the range of £29 - 35,000 p.a., together with a benefits package.
