What is the Role?
Working within a Bridge Design team within an established Rail business, you will be working from their York office on the Design of Bridges over the Rail Network. Due to expansion we have 2 vacancies for experienced Engineers.
The role involves but is not limited to the following:
Responsible for managing a small team of up to 5 individuals
Responsibility of delivering up to 10 projects concurrently to time and to budget
Daily management of projects reporting to Project Manager
Design and Design Management from inception to completion
Supervising and managing assistant engineers and technicians
Liaison with other members of project teams both internal and external
Liaise with internal and external sub contractors
Involvement with cost management, tenders, invoicing of projects
Client presentations
Circa 75% of time will be spent on Design and will include planning and undertaking survey works on site.

Who are the likely candidates?
Ideally you will be degree qualified with experience in Bridge Design within the rail industry including knowledge of steel, concrete and composite. This position may suit a candidate looking to move from Bridge Assessment into Design.
