We now require an Associate to join our successful Structures team in Leeds, to assist with the planned expansion and strengthening of the team.
Job description
We require and ambitious and talented Associate to work on high-profile national and international projects from our Leeds office.
• Lead Business development and report to the Divisional Director
• Manage the technical and commercial delivery of projects
• Provide strong and enthusiastic technical leadership with the design team
• Control project finances
• Leading/assisting business development
• Maintain key relationships with existing clients
• Structural design of building structures in all major materials to the current British Standards
• Delivering engineering solutions and reporting results to managers and clients as appropriate
Candidate specification
The successful candidate will be experienced and have a personal interest in Structural Engineering which will be utilised in a broad range of UK and International Structural Engineering projects.
Essential requirements:
• Chartered – MIStructE or MICE
• Have a network of contacts and the ability to win new work
• Experience of a range of structural engineering solutions, including high rise, Offices, Commercial and mixed use
• Proven track record in quality design to the highest standard
• Proficient in using main structural design software packages
• Experience working in UK structural engineering and involvement in the full project lifecycle
• Experience working in or with a multi-disciplinary design consultancy
• A strong technical focus
• Self-motivated with the ability to build rapport with members of the design team
