We are looking for two Quality Managers in Projects (QMiP's) with HND/Degrees in Engineering or equivalent to work for one of the world's leading engineering and plant building companies for the international metals industry and to be responsible for all project related quality assurance matters.
The Quality Manager in Projects (QMiP) will need to have experience in Engineering Design within the relevant Business Unit together with excellent communication and team skills
Experience of pre-project, Project and Supplier management is desirable
Reporting to the Quality Manager but assigned to a specific Project Manager, the Quality Manager in Projects will be responsible for all project related quality assurance matters including the quality measurement of processes and products and working with the Project Manager to plan and implement Quality Gates.
In liaison with the Quality Assurance Manager the Quality Manager in Projects will also be expected to take the lead role in the planning and execution of Internal QA Audits.
Day to day duties will include:
* Being the internal and external contact for project quality related matters
* Generating and maintaining the Project Quality Plan
* Participating in the implementation of Project Management
* Participate in Quality Gates including Internal Quality Audits
* Liaising with the Project Manager to control the Project Milestone meetings, Quality Gates etc.
* Providing support in the planning and implementation of the Project Milestones involving Engineering
* Identifying and reporting non financial KPI's associated with the project
* Promoting the use of preventative quality tools
* Ensuring that potential Suppliers are capable of meeting the quality requirements.
* Developing proactive relationships with suppliers
* Reporting on quality related topics in the project
* Ensuring project end surveys and PMA are completed.
All candidates for the position of Quality Manager in Projects (QMiP) will need to have a current Driving Licence and passport and be able to travel both nationally and internationally, possibly at short notice
