The Client

My Client is a support services company that provides infrastructure maintenance services
for the public sector, the utilities industry and other large organisations. They currently seek a talented and ambitious Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic commercial team to work on a variety of none residential projects with varying values. Although they operate nationally you will be predominantly based in North Yorkshire and on occasion be required to travel to other sites.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level and will ideally be a chartered member of RICS, although this is not essential and candidates boasting at least 5 years of UK based experience will also be considered. Any experience of working within the MOD in a commercial capacity would be hugely advantageous. You will be undertaking full Quantity Surveying duties for all none residential buildings on MOD sites.


Your duties will include:

* Preparation of cost plans
* Preparation of contractor's payment recommendations
* Tender evaluation & assessment
* Preparation of recommendations for award of contractor packages
* Interpreting and offering advice on contract
* Ensuring contractual notices and client entitlements are properly administered
* Measuring & valuing variations
* Agreement of final accounts
