We require an experienced project manager with a mechanical engineering background, to work for a large and well respected hydraulics engineering firm based in central Leeds. The role is multi-faceted, and embraces project management, engineering and sales.
Principal duties will include:
Managing projects
Using engineering experience and knowledge to make technical decisions
Producing tenders for complex engineered systems
Liaising with customers, suppliers and other parties
Ensuring work carried out meets all legal and quality requirements
To apply candidates should be:
From a mechanical engineering background
Have experience in 'heavy' industry, such as metal processing, forging, steel making or similar
Have experience of project management
Have experience of Sales, facing customers and negotiating contracts
Have the ability to make technical decisions, whilst considering commercial implications.
Have some knowledge of hydraulic systems
Salary will be £30 - £35K, with benefits including a car allowance.
The role would require a willingness to travel both in the UK and overseas.
