Project Developer- Huddersfield to £25k plus benefits

Engaged in global product development for a universal market within an established and rapidly developing industry leader, the successful candidate will help co-ordinate,drive and bring to market the creation of innovative and effective design led products that meet or exceed our clients impressive brand values, ensuring that the product range leads the UK and Global markets in terms of quality, safety, durability and effectiveness and manage their development within specific time deadlines from concept to production.
The role will give the Project Developer the opportunity to work across a variety of product lines that range from hard goods to soft goods and will necessitate close liaison with the range of other internal departments of the organisation.
Reporting directly to the Senior Project Development Manager within the team, you will ensure the product ranges lead the UK, and European market in terms of product, innovation, design, quality, safety and value for money, and will work closely as a team to enable your joint product to come to market on time and on budget, demonstrating understanding of competitive positioning and what the consumer's wants and the user's needs are in order to ensure the consistency with the Company's Brand values and ensuring a point of difference in the market place.
Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring that all supplier issues are promptly and effectively identified and resolved, whatever their nature, working with other departments where necessary across the business and understanding the Critical path, ensuring that the wider team deliver the range to agreed deadlines and to co-ordinate the activities of all interested parties internally. Operating as a key liaison mechanism between the product development and R&D / test labs, you will ensure that the project budget is continually updated, and that all suppliers and products meet or exceed the required standards and technical requirements whilst assisting with project management & problem solving as and where necessary.
