We are looking to recruit an Engineer to join our busy Engineering team who will work as part of the Wakefield Engineering Team liaising with the production managers in order to ensure that machinery downtime is kept to a minimum and that all preventative maintenance is planned in advance to avoid production disruption.
Based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire you will work alongside the Assistant Engineering Managers, Project Engineering, Electrical Engineer and Engineering Manager.
To be successful in this position you are likely to have at least 2 years experience within a food based manufacturing environment in a Technical (or related) role, be competent at using web-based specification systems and completing new specifications and have had involvement in HACCP generation and reviews.
Ideally with a Food Science/technology related qualification and / or be Intermediate HACCP and Food Hygiene trained (or equivalent). You will also possess excellent communication skills, demonstrate assertiveness and decision making skills and be a team player. Experience in the food industry is preferred but not essential.
