Introduction:
My client is a leading contractor within the MOD and defence sector and has a requirement for 2 separate technicians, one specialising in Airframes and one specialising in Propulsion systems. The main purpose of these roles is to conduct on and off maintenance of Tucano Aircraft systems and equipment. These roles will be based from RAF Linton-on-Ouse in Yorkshire and require the successful candidates to undergo security vetting.

Responsibilities:
- Duties will include:
- Carrying out repairs to propulsion and airframe equipment.
- Carrying out related system functional checks.
- Undertake scheduled maintenance using authorised maintenance procedures.
- Carry out flight servicing and participate as a member of an aircraft ground handling team.

Applicant Requirements:
- Formal training to Technician level in aircraft engineering
- Relevant previous experience within an Aircraft environment.
- Working knowledge of RAF Aircraft Maintenance procedures and documentation would be an advantage.
- Good eyesight is required to identify defects and component identification.
- There is an operational requirement to meet a colour perception standard of CP3 for airfield driving.
- Manual handling of equipment / components / test equipment and ground equipment.
- Manual handling of aircraft as required.
- Propulsion Technicians will be expected to undertake Ground Engine Tests.

- Although not essential, candidates with an HM Forces background are strongly encouraged to apply.

Benefits:
- £19,308.65 per annum
- Overtime available depending on workload.
- Working Hours: Mon to Thurs 08:00 -16:45, Friday 08:00 -12:30
