This is multidisciplinary consultant working on the three largest developments in Leeds (all of which have construction values of over 500 million). These projects are working for corporate, national developers supported by pension fund and shareholder investment from London. They are the new wave of developer clients in Leeds who understand design quality and long term investment and are bringing in high profile architects, engineers, project managers etc to develop their projects. The three projects are all in the initial planning and early scheme design stages.
My client is looking for experienced, multidisciplinary engineers capable of working collaboratively with architects, planners, the city council, property agents, contractors, regulatory authorities etc and having the personal skills to interact with clients at a high level. Developing on experience and capability the candidate would take a lead role in the engineering design, both doing conceptual and scheme design themselves and coordinating with other internal team - eg buildings, specialists, geotechnics. These specific projects will be developed out over a number of years. There is an opportunity for the right candidates to make a positive impact to the success of the project outcome. This will present the right candidate the right opportunities and environment to develop their technical, managerial and commercial skills to progress to Associate level and beyond.
In addition the group has a diverse workload of other project work ranging from master planning work for urban regeneration schemes, detailed design of new public squares, regeneration of major canals etc. In addition there is work on the Olympics and as one would expect from a company of this calibre, a number of master planning projects in Continental Europe and further afield with international architects.
