What is the Role?
As a Principal Engineer you will be responsible for a large team of bridge engineers located in the York office. You will be included in designing and ensuring that your team is completing projects within time and budget. The York branch works as a multi-project office, and you need to have the experience to work well on several developments at one time.
This company are looking to expand quickly due to successfully winning work and having a full diary for the year. The York office is an established branch and has continued to expanded successfully. Due to this, this consultancy is in need of an individual who can enter the company and run projects immediately; therefore you will need to have a many years experience in the designing of bridges, as well as the ability to run, lead and develop a teams within a multi-project environment.

Who are the likely candidates?
Applicants will require an aptitude for structural analysis and design, be willing to tackle challenging problems and develop innovative solutions, as well as leading design teams. Previous experience working in a multi-disciplinary environment and on and on D&B/ECI contracts is desirable.
What Skills do I need?
· Previous experience in the design of Bridges and other Highway Structures
· Aptitude for structural analysis and design
· Proven ability to lead design teams and gain credibility across the business
· Previous experience working in a multi-disciplinary environment and on D&B/ECI contracts would be an advantage
· Good degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
· Achieved Chartered status (not essential)
