We are looking for a Welding Technician who has been previously involved in the support of welding operations and has proven knowledge of manual and mechanised welding processes.
The successful candidate for the position of Welding Technician will be offered training to become a European Welding Technologist or Engineer
The company is a leading international manufacturer of oil and gas pressure control equipment and its major processes include mechanised arc TIG cladding, SMAW of pipe joints and Autogenous tube welding of a range of high alloy ferritic steels, stainless steel, duplex stainless steels and Inconels.
The vacancy is available due to increased production and will enable the successful Welding Technician to move towards state of the art programmable welding utilising robotics and CNC controls.
The role of Welding Technician will involve working with the plant Welding Engineer on the development and qualification of welding/repair procedures to ensure that the company meets internal, industry and customer weld specifications.
The Welding Technician will also be involved in the development of existing and new welding processes to ensure continuous improvements in quality, safety and productivity.
