Due to a rapidly expanding workload, our client's Leeds office has a vacancy for a Transport Modeller / Engineer to assist with the development of their transport modelling capability in Yorkshire and across the north and east of England.
You will be provided with a wide variety of projects and you will be expected to undertake / perform the following duties:
• Support a wide range of public and private sector clients
• Build on their existing team and workload.
• Wide range of development work including UK and overseas projects
• Major studies and infrastructure projects.
• Support LA frameworks and private sector clients
• Mentor graduates within the Transport Planning team
• Liaise with colleagues in other offices nationwide to share information and knowledge
You will be degree qualified or equivalent in a relevant subject and will preferably have an M.Sc in Transport Planning.
With sound experience of a range of Transport Planning solutions for both public and private sectors, you will possess sound technical experience, including knowledge of relevant software e.g. TRANSYT, ARCADY, VISSIM and experience of working in or with a multi-disciplinary design consultancy.
Knowledge of SATURN and VISUM would be beneficial as would experience of collaborative working with clients and other consultants.
You will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of staff and clients (both written and orally) and you will be capable of working to deadlines and autonomously when required
Our client will offer a competitive salary, probably in the range of £26 - 34,000 p.a., together with a comprehensive benefits package.
