What is the Role?
As a Signalling Design Manager you would support the Head of Design in leading and directing the design office in all aspects of railway signalling schemes. You would also be responsible to manage the Principles Designers/Checkers, Designers and Design Sub-contract Interface.
Key activities involved
· Manage the update of all signalling design records to ensure accurate As-Built records are maintained.
· Produce documented reports from design review meetings for incorporation in the design details.
· Undertake the appropriate checks and reviews of design output as required.
· Attend all training courses/seminars in order to maintain continuing personal and professional development in line with business needs.
· Responsible for approval of IRSE licences and IRSE logbook inspections.
· Co-ordinate and manage outsource design to meet P3 delivery programmes.
· Be responsible for the acceptance of signalling design specifications, scheme plans, control tables and detailed circuit design etc. to meet CDM regulations.
· Carrying out Risk Assessments for all projects/activities.
Who are the likely candidates?
· HNC Electrical Engineering or Incorporated Engineer. · Principle Design Licence · Design Managers Licence · AI Assessor · Corporate Member of IRSE.
What Skills do I need?
· You should have a minimum of 10 years experience in signalling design. · High level knowledge of Railway Signalling Principles. · Good working knowledge of CAD systems and management. Our Methodology
