Our client is one of the largest UK water suppliers and provide clean drinking water and usage for millions of customers in Central England. The engineering divison of the group is solely responsible for the operations and maintenance of the groups assets, including water & wastewater treatment plants, sewage networks and pumping stations. Due to the expansion of the engineering business they are presently seeking a Monitor Technician
Role Objective
Working in a team which is responsible for the development of strategies to maintain/improve the performance assets to deliver the required levels of service to customers. Provide technical support in monitoring the performance and condition of the sewerage network assets against required standards.
Key Accountabilities: • Co-ordinate the gathering of asset data liaising with contractors and company staff • Carry out quality assurance on data and report deficiencies to providers and ensure appropriate corrective action • Record data on GIS system • Analyse data and provide reports to support asset maintenance programmes • Monitor maintenance programmes and report shortfalls against financial quantitative targets • Maintain records of work completed including updating of identified discrepancies in key company record systems e.g. UADMS Experience: • Some relevant experience in a sewerage network environment • Knowledge of sewer hydraulics would be desirable • Experience is using GIS systems such as Wallingford InfoNet would be a distinct advantage
