Our client, an established firm of chartered engineers, currently seeks to recruit a Senior Structural Engineer to join their small yet dynamic consultancy based in Coventry, just five minutes from the city centre. Committed to excellence in the design and project management of structures in steelwork, reinforced concrete, timber & masonry, our client undertakes projects in a range of sectors including housing association, local authority, commercial, industrial projects and steel fabricators. Candidates applying for this position must be CEng/ MIstructE with a minimum of one years post qualification experience. Applicants must also hold Corporate Membership to the Institution of Structural Engineers and have experience of the project types mentioned above. Our client is specifically looking for an individual with a good positive attitude who is personable, approachable, flexible and adaptable. You should be confident with good client-facing abilities and excellent technical skills including designing with all traditional building materials. Duties will include supporting the Director, design work including calculations and drawing using AutoCAD, preparation and report writing, time management and client liaison, as well as liaison with the public, local authorities, developers and architects. The successful engineer will work on range of projects and carry out surveys (roof spaces, scaffold assessment etc).
