Role: Regional IMS Advisor
Contact: This position is for the duration of a 2 year project.
Salary: Up to £38,000 per annum
Hours: 40 per week between 08:30 and 17:30.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To assist in the management of IMS matters in the Company Infrastructure Department on a £90m contract working on Motorway junctions of the M40, M42 and M6 in the Midland area.
KEY OBJECTIVES OF THE JOB INCLUDE
To support the Infrastructure management team within specified sub-regional or “local” projects and facilities by: advising, monitoring and reporting on local initiatives and compliance with applicable legislation, policies, procedures, third party standards and industry best practice assisting in the investigation and reporting of local accidents, incidents and non-conformances and making recommendations for corrective action
supporting local supply chain, work winning and client relationship activities and liaising as appropriate with third parties and statutory bodies
To support the sustainability function throughout the relevant region of the Infrastructure Civil Engineering business unit by:
advising and providing appropriate training in the promotion of best practice and compliance with applicable environmental legislation and third party sustainability standards throughout the region assisting as required in the investigation and reporting of significant environmental incidents and sustainability non-conformances within the region and making recommendations for corrective action recommending and coordinating implementation of pro-active regional strategies for continuous improvement in sustainability.
KNOWLEDGE AND APPLIED SKILLS
- Working knowledge of IMS systems through job experience & training - At least 2 years experience of providing professional support in a construction environment - The job holder will be qualified to at least NEBOSH Construction Certificate level in health and safety and ideally to diploma level in environmental management, and will possess relevant knowledge/skills gained through 'on the job' experience.
