We are looking for a Project Engineer with a Degree / HND (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline and project engineering experience in a related industry such as the design of automated manufacturing / special purpose equipment
Knowledge of pipe work, pumps, valves, platforms, powder handling and liquid handling systems is required as is a good understanding of electrical systems, software and current regulations
Draughting skills will be required and CAD/ Inventor experience desirable as would chemical industry process knowledge and experience
All candidates for the position of Project Engineer should have report writing and presentation skills coupled with experience of Microsoft project
Day to day duties of the role will involve:-
* Pre-tender, pre-construction, construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance, implement engineering design * Organising and liaising with sub contractors * Placing orders. * Site work and commissioning * Compliance with Heath & Safety legislation * Understanding of current European legislations * Receiving, interpreting and implementing the requirements of sales engineers and customers * The interpretation and development of client's design requirements for the bid process and contract stage * Ensuring that project and company quality procedures and business management systems are implemented * Ensuring that all relevant documentation is produced in compliance with legislation, codes and standards and client requirements. * Ensuring that design documents produced in house are technically correct, clear, understandable and distributed to all relevant parties to suit the project program * Applying engineering principles in the preparation of calculations, specifications, reports, schedules, drawings and sketches and resolution of engineering challenges * Providing relevant technical information for the delivery of design and construction. * Supervision of installation and commissioning of the plant and equipment, and training of the client operators
Candidates for the position of Mechanical Project Engineer should also be able to demonstrate strong communication skills at all levels and have experience of problem solving and implementation of counter measures
A flexible approach to work and the willingness and ability to work weekends and shut downs on occasions is essential. Travel including overseas is essential
