The successful candidate will be working within a team, reporting to a team leader, and would be expected to perform the following duties: Project/ Technical Role: - Support senior members of staff in delivering development and regeneration projects for both private and public sector clients. - Project and task management. - Allocate tasks to the project team, check and monitor their work. - Ensure that project work is carried out within agreed timescales and budget. - Analyse, evaluate and appraise development planning problems and options. - Keep up-to-date with current methods and the latest research in relevant transport fields. - Represent the consultancy at technical seminars/conferences and promote our capability. Business Role: - Develop good relationships with existing and new clients and partners in order to increase and enhance business. - Awareness of potential commercial opportunities. - Support the business unit manager to identify and agree resourcing requirements. Staff Responsibilities:
- Senior member of team reporting to business unit manager. - Responsible for effective utilisation of staff resources, quality of work and staff development. - Identify project-driven office recruitment and training needs. - Assist the unit's less experienced staff in developing their technical skills and knowledge.
