Our client is looking for an individual to become actively involved in work mainly located in Central and Southern England, but occasionally in other locations including short overseas trips.
Reporting to an Associate Director and supported by Principal Engineers and Planners, you will provide support to the expanding Development Planning team in achieving planning consent or operational solutions for mainly private sector clients' projects.
You will be degree qualified or equivalent in transport planning or traffic engineering and have considerable professional experience at a senior level either with the private or public sector. Experience must include the preparation of Transport Assessments, Transport Modelling, Transport Strategies and Travel Plans. Knowledge and experience of the planning process and planning policies at both national and regional level would be an advantage.
You should also have a working knowledge of highway design and planning, junction design, traffic signal design and traffic management measures along with the relevant software packages. Any experience with Microstation would be beneficial.
Candidates will be good communicators with the ability to work as part of a team and also alone within a medium sized consultancy.
Our client will offer a competitive salary, probably in the range of £32 - 36,000 p.a., together with an attractive benefits package.
