SHIFT MAINTENANCE ENGINEER £20,396 - £22,436 (Salary dependant upon qualifications and experience)
Shift Allowance - £5,044 per annum
JOB SUMMARY
To provide planned preventative and emergency maintenance for all plant and equipment services, incorporating out of hour’s maintenance support. To also carry out mechanical/ electrical installations in accordance with relevant regulations.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
To carry out scheduled planned preventative maintenance. To respond/co-ordinate emergency breakdowns on all plant and equipment including site services. To control helpdesk calls and generate own work from CMMS including work closeout and input of work history (out of hours). Issue and control of permits to work, including accommodation of contractors on site. To participate in continuous improvement activities. Co-ordinate/carry out all out of hours pre-defined emergency procedures, i.e. MEB, MHS Alarms, and motor rewind specialists etc.
REQUIREMENTS
Applicants should have completed a recognised apprenticeship and must be qualified to at least BTEC/ONC (Electrical) with some mechanical knowledge. 5 years experience working as a multi-skilled craftsman in a high volume manufacturing environment is essential 16th Edition Regulations is required. A working knowledge of P.L.C's, Robotics and steam systems would be an advantage. Current first aid certificate would also be an advantage Must be computer literate.
HOURS OF WORK
Continental Shifts (40.71 hrs per week)
Working a lifestyle balance pattern 3 shifts on, 2 shifts off, 2 shifts on followed by 3 off, 2 on and 3 off – rotating each fortnight from days to nights.
