Building Services / HVAC or Plant Engineer to work as part of a multi-discipline engineering team on the design of modifications to operational plant services and HVAC.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out site surveys of HVAC plant equipment and services and produce survey reports. Carry out performance calculations on HVAC systems, thermal heat loss and gains, air changes, gas and fluid flows, pressure losses. Size fans/motors and ducting, pipework, chillers. Production of design documents, drawings, equipment specifications and data sheets. Produce Technical reports. Communicate effectively within the multidiscipline design team in addition to Client and Supply Chain representatives. Ensure all technical documents and data are prepared and structured in accordance with relevant design codes and standards. Ensure the design meets the operational/ design requirements, and any Safety Functional requirements. Check, verify and approve engineering drawings and documents in line with the technical plan.
Essential Quals - HNC/HND or Degree (or equivalent) in an Engineering Discipline, Plant Engineering or Building Services .
Desirable Quals - Possibly associate or full membership of an appropriate institute.
Experience - Working knowledge of building services and HVAC plant and equipment. Knowledge of process containment systems. Preparation of detailed equipment specifications. Production of design documents and drawings for building services and HVAC plant. Installation, test and commissioning experience would be advantageous. Good communicator. Experience of producing and checking plant and HVAC design and performance calculations, drawings and design documents.
