The Role The purpose of this job is to design and deliver highway design work, for a range of high profile public and private sector clients. The company is currently working with the Highways Agency on Early Contractor Involvement projects and Framework Agreements, Local Authorities and a number of major Property Developers and Contractors.
Requirements
Objective Qualities
Candidates should possess the following qualities:
Degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering Full driving licence Experience of using basic IT systems including Microsoft Office and Outlook Experience of using AutoCAD Ideally, candidates should also possess the following qualities: Ability to design highway schemes Experience of working in an office environment MSc in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering
Responsibilities
• Contributing to feasibility studies, designs and reports • Contributing to other fee earning consultancy work – primarily in other Civils orientated projects, when required • Ensuring designs are carried out in accordance with current (DMRB) design standards taking into account CDM (Construction Design Management) legislation, whole life costing, value and risk management. • Projects will include road widening schemes, bypasses and highway improvements for commercial and residential developments and require feasibility studies, detail design, cost estimates and programming input
