JOB PURPOSE:
To lead a team, developing a comprehensive regional footprint for the environment and geotechnical services in the Midlands
RESPONSIBILTIES:
-Secure new work in accordance with the budget and business development plan at appropriate fee levels.
-Manage the geotechnical group business at the Birmingham office so as to achieve agreed sales and profit targets.
-Work to build a geotechnical team working with the established Environmental Teams in Birmingham and the Midlands, appoint, develop and retain high calibre professional staff, to expand capabilities.
-Build strong relationships with other Group Leaders and Consulting Group Managers within the company.
-Establish and maintain high technical standards.
-Manage the delivery of projects through resourcing and planning and ensure customer satisfaction.
PERFORMANCE MEASURES:
-Minimise risks to the business through diligent commercial management.
-Apply the Company’s Health & Safety procedures and ensure employee welfare
-Apply the Company’s Business Management System, including those components relating to Quality Assurance.
-Liaise with the Marketing team regarding business development support, promotional materials, corporate hospitality, events etc.
-Provide reports required to the Consulting Group Manager and the General Manager of the company.
