Purpose of the Role
To manage the contracts successfully focusing on safety, customer service, quality and productivity. To ensure that contracts perform in line with budget and to maintain a motivated, effective and safety conscious workforce.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Understand and deliver the Client’s requirements. - Liaise with designers and estimators to optimise site operations. - Review and check the design for estimating then produce the working design for each contract. - Assist in the management of contracts with a high level of client contact. - Ensure site costs are managed effectively and estimate costs known. - Implement procedures to reduce / remove site and safety hazards. - Develop long lasting relationships with clients to encourage repeat business. - Manage subcontractors effectively to ensure they are suitable to deliver. - Manage operatives effectively to maximise profitability and motivation. - Continue professional development.
Experience and Qualifications Needed
Minimum
- Civil Engineering / Geology related Degree or HNC. - 3 years experience construction environment, geotechnical, civil engineering, building. - IT literate, Excel, and Word. - Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
- Experience with a civil engineering / building contracts. - Ideally a First Aider. - Working towards chartership of a related professional body. - AutoCAD.
