Environmental Consultant - Birmingham
Waterman Group, one of the UK’s top 20 firms of consulting engineers are currently seeking an Environmental Consultant to work in our Environmental Team based at our Birmingham office.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the Brownfield regeneration sector and possess a strong geo-environmental technical background with a geo-environmental consultancy or contractor.
You will have good experience in undertaking Phase I Desk Studies, the design and supervision of Phase II Intrusive Investigations and the remediation associated with Brownfield sites. The ideal candidate will have been exposed to both geotechnical and contamination issues and should therefore possess the ability to undertake interpretative reports for both geotechnical and contamination assessments.
Excellent communication skills along with a broad base of technical knowledge and understanding with regards to the Brownfield sector are essential.
A good relevant first degree is essential and a post graduate qualification specific to the geotechnical or environmental sector would be an advantage.
