Electrical/Electronic Engineer - knowledge of Power Electronic control systems and Power Electronic Converters - based Droitwich - salary c£35K basic plus guaranteed bonus, company bonus, pension etc
We are looking for a degree qualified (or equivalent) Electrical/Electronic Engineer with a working knowledge of Power Electronic Converters using thyristors and IGBT's. Also required is experience of heavy current design including cooling principles and a working knowledge of Power Electronic control systems and analogue and digital design principles.
This is an exciting role giving the successful Electrical/Electronic Engineer the opportunity to work for a design and manufacturing base of a worldwide group with an annual turnover of over €700m.
Whilst this role will be based at the European Group's engineering and manufacturing base in Droitwich, as part of a multinational company there will be the opportunity to work with engineers across the World.
There are excellent long term prospects and the vacancy has arisen due to the growth of the business and follows a review of future needs.
Desirable but not essential skills would include knowledge of harmonic production and reduction; knowledge of Medium Voltage engineering principles; PLC programming experience and the use of software simulation tools such as MathCAD, P-Spice etc.
The job role of the Electrical/Electronic Engineer will involve the design and development of electrical aspects of equipment sold.
The successful candidates will also be expected to liaise with suppliers, customers and sister companies and work as part of a team to ensure that equipment is manufactured profitably, on time and to specification.
This position will report directly to the Engineering Director and the post holder will be a No 2 to the Engineering Director in the area of Electrical Engineering.

There will be some international travel.
