A worldwide manufacturer of domestic, commercial and industrial circuit protection and control equipment are looking to increase their workforce by the introduction of a Bus Bar Applications Engineer in their Birmingham site
The primary function of the Applications Engineer is to produce bus bar layout drawings specifying the special and standard product Bill of Quantities necessary to meet customers requirements for Bus Bar Trunking.
The successful candidate will also be able to complete the following essential functions:
1. Provide drawings for customer specific applications based on customer orders 2. Interpret relevant BSEN standards that are to be applied to applications as per customer requirements 3. Review quoted proposals on order award 4. Conduct site measures to confirm requirement 5. Produce detailed layout drawings as per site measures 6. Issue drawings/material to Order Management to update, quote and produce production schedules 7. Resolve application issues with customers/consulting engineers through order managers 8. Provide training for colleagues and customers on System design aspects 9. Provide technical support when required 10. Assist with commissioning on site where necessary 11. Carry out duties as assigned by the Systems Engineering Manager
Formal Electro-mechanical Engineering training and knowledge of Bus Bar trunking systems is essential and knowledge of Power networks is also required.
The role involves problem analysis and the provision of solutions, so the successful candidate must have a strong technology focus and have a minimum of 2 years experience within the industry
