Senior Engineers are now required to join their Power Business Unit. Reporting to the Engineering Manager the successful candidate will carry out a vital role as part of a dedicated technical team challenged with the task of delivering robust and cost effective signature management system solutions. You will be responsible for a range of engineering activity from bid to delivery. This role will challenge your experience of designing optimum solutions in a cost competitive environment. Working closely with other team members and sub-contractors you will plan develop and deliver sub-system solutions that successfully meet overall project objectives.
Key requirements will include meeting required milestones and minimising risk to the project. You will take responsibility for a major part of the engineering work on a large project and co-ordinate allocated resources effectively. You will contribute to project meetings and deliver detailed technical and progress reports; working closely with senior team members to plan and co-ordinate projects. Furthermore you will review, coach and train technical staff to maintain engineering standards and expertise at a high level.
As Senior Engineer you will have a relevant degree with proven experience in an electrical engineering environment. You will also have experience of working within a team-based, multi-skilled environment. The ability to apply best practice engineering and development techniques as well as a working knowledge of safety and environmental legislation is advantageous.
You would be joining the operating division of a world-leading aerospace and defence electronics company providing specialist products across the globe. It is part of a group of businesses specialising in the design, manufacture and support of electronic and electromechanical products and sub systems for the international defence, transit and aerospace markets.
