We are looking for a Helpdesk Specialist to support the Customer Support Helpdesk Manager for a technical company based in Malvern
The Helpdesk Specialist should be a fluent English speaker (any other language skills would be an advantage) and have qualifications in either Engineering, Science or IT to HND/ Degree level - work experience in these fields to equivalent standards would be considered.
All candidates must be competent in using Microsoft Office software.
A good working knowledge of IBM compatible computers and their operating system's as well as previous experience of using a business management system, such as SAP would be advantageous.
It is essential that the Helpdesk specialist has excellent communication and organisation skills and well developed problem solving and trouble shooting ability.
You should have prior experience in a Customer facing role and the ability to work well on your own and within the team.
The main purpose of the role will be to act as the primary interface between the company and its customers and to ensure the prompt resolution of customer enquiries and problems.
Day to day duties of the Helpdesk Specialist will include
* Working with the Helpdesk team to ensure accurate diagnosis of customer problems and the provision of solutions.
* Maintaining own technical knowledge across the company's product portfolio
* Liaising with other Subsidiary helpdesks to ensure an accurate information flow around Service Centres globally.
* Recording problems and contact details into the system
* Taking ownership of customer issues
* Prioritising all enquiries and fault calls. * Assigning Field Service Engineers (UK and international) to service calls. * Providing feedback on product quality and design issues.
* Attending Product Quality Meetings * Developing support materials such as FAQ's, How-to guides, Application notes. * Providing support to all internal and external customers
* Providing secondary support for servicing, application and analysis departments,
* Working in a shift pattern as a team to cover hours 07:30 -18:30
All candidates should be able to work with the minimum of supervision to achieve agreed objectives, be flexible and adaptable and have Technical Acumen
Additional language skills advantageous
