Engineering Assistant - Power Test and Systems Test needed within the Power Conversion Industry
Our Client is a worldwide specialist in Power Conversion. They provide customized solutions to convert electrical energy through optimum application of technology in drives, controls, motors and generators.
Their customers operate in three main markets: Marine, Energy and Industry as well as in many specialized areas.
They cover every aspect from design-only to turnkey systems, installation and commissioning, all backed by a full range of support services.
Your Role is:
Fitting and wiring of Power Electronic devices for developments within Converteam for Drives and Systems.
Prepare Systems for application testing.
Main Tasks Include:
Working to sketches to build and assemble Power Electronic devices for testing.
Wiring and arranging devices and instruments to measure currents and voltages on test rigs in a safe and timely manner.
Assembly of devices to drawings of previously manufactured specifications.
Prepaparation of Contract equipment for automation testing in Systems Test
Maintenance and housekeeping in the Test and Assembly areas in Building 140N/BR57A
RCD and Portable appliance electrical maintenance.
Available to work 'on site' for short durations refurbishing/upgrading systems.
