Test Engineers needed within the Power Conversion Industry
Our Client is a worldwide specialist in Power Conversion. They provide customized solutions to convert electrical energy through optimum application of technology in drives, controls, motors and generators.
Their customers operate in three main markets: Marine, Energy and Industry as well as in many specialized areas.
They cover every aspect from design-only to turnkey systems, installation and commissioning, all backed by a full range of support services.
Your Role is:
The purpose of the role is to test electrical rotating machines motors and generators to meet customer and engineering specifications. This position is based in Rugby
Main Tasks Include:
Evaluate requirements for testing
Arrange the layout of machines for testing
Arrange drives/supplies cable
Check for safe condition to run
Carry out tests as per procedures
Monitor M/C on test
Hand over in safe condition for removal from Test
Health and Safety Expectations
Responsible for self and others
Co-operation will all safe working practices
Contribute to the implementation of such practices when necessary
Personal Attributes
The ideal candidates will hopefully have either an apprenticeship, a HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with substantial experience in a simliar role.
