The Role:
The Systems Engineers are integral to the Controls Division focusing on the design, engineer, commission and support of PLC/Scada based Plant Management Systems (PMS). PMS are used to control and monitor industrial multi-utility and energy plants in the Contract Energy & Utility Management Industry. The key roles of the PMS are : remote alarm management, plant performance management and plant control.
In addition to the above, there will be opportunities for the individual to gain experience on Building management Systems which are more regularly utilised throughout the commercial sites.
Requirements:
§ Ability to develop strategy for better working practices.
§ Is familiar with multi-protocol systems (Ethernet, DF1, DeviceNet, ModBus, ProfiBus)
§ -Is conversant with CompactLogix and RSView
§ -Has some experience of the utilities or power industry
§ -Has a good understanding of metering technologies
§ -Has good knowledge or a degree in electrical design/engineering
§ -Has experience in specifying/procuring control panels, instrumentation and metering
§ -Has previously used software such as CAD, EM&T, M/S Project
§ -Is a member of the IEEE or InstMC
§ Live in the Midlands regional area
§ Proficient in Excel/Access/Word/PowerPoint.
§ Ability to meet deadlines.
§ Have previous experience in a similar role.
