Stator Winders needed within the Power Conversion Industry
Our Client is a worldwide specialist in Power Conversion. They provide customized solutions to convert electrical energy through optimum application of technology in drives, controls, motors and generators.
Their customers operate in three main markets: Marine, Energy and Industry as well as in many specialized areas.
They cover every aspect from design-only to turnkey systems, installation and commissioning, all backed by a full range of support services.
Your Role is:
Applications are currently invited for Stator Winders to join the Electrical Machines Rotor/Stator section of the Manufacturing Department, based in Rugby. The purpose of the role is to produce a fully wound component, for delivery to final assembly, ensuring all specifications are met as laid out in the company quality procedures and routines.
Main Tasks Include:
Work to relevant paperwork, drawings & specifications. Inspect components set up for winding. Carry out pre winding checks, ref. Bill of material and order material. Activate routing sheet. Assemble and connect winding, including cables, bus bars. Self inspect and complete quality documents.

Responsible for self and others. To co-operate fully with all safe working practices. Contribute to the implementation of such practices when necessary.
Personal Attributes
You should have completed an apprenticeship in stator/armature winding or electrical fitting/wiring and have a minimum of four years post apprenticeship experience, and also be analytical and literate. In addition qualifications such as; NVQ 3, ONC or City & Guilds – craft and/or experience working within a large rotating machines environment would be advantageous.
You will need to be a good team player and have a flexible approach. In addition you must be able to work various shifts (including nights) as required.
