Our client is one of the largest sub contracting consultancies operating in the UK today. They have a very lucrative contract they have just won with the NHS. In particular they have a lot of contracting work to be completed at a Hospital in based in the West Midlands.
It is due to this outstanding work they have an immediate permanent vacancy for s Service Engineer to join their team and to be based permanently at the Hospital based in the West Midlands.
JOB SUMMARY
The maintenance, inspection, testing of a wide variety of Bio-Medical & Electronic Equipment
Main Duties
• To carry out installation, maintenance, inspection and testing, fault finding and repairs of a wide range of Bio-medical equipment within the Trust and service agreements
• To carry out the preparation and operation of a Planned Preventative Maintenance System for Bio-medical and other electronic equipment throughout the Trust and service agreements
• Liaise with other technicians on all matters relating to equipment operation, maintenance, performance etc. to effectively contribute to the operation of the department under the direction of the EBME Manager.
• Plan/carry out and/or supervise improvements/alteration work by direct labour or contractor
• To maintain functionality and accuracy of calibration / test equipment
Skills / Experience
• 2 years + professional experience servicing medical equipment in a hospital environment or equivalent
• Electrical / Electronic qualification(s), E.g C&G, 16th ED etc
• Hold a full UK driving licence
